How it works

Make credit restoration simple and easy

Anybody can remove their bad credit listings — our mission is to help them realise how. To do this, we enable people to easily access, understand and dispute bad credit listings with their credit providers.

Keep your disputes organised in one place – with Dispute Tracking. Get more vision and control over the process!

identify

1. Identify the error

Make sure you access the most recent version of your credit file. For more information, follow this link.

If you were denied for a loan or service plan due to a bad credit file, ask your Credit Provider for the exact reason. This will make it easier to know what is holding you back (in most cases this is usually a default listing).

raise a dispute

2. Raise a dispute

Create your tailor-made dispute letter and send to your Credit Provider. Using our Dispute Letter Generator, you can quickly and easily detail the key events that led to and caused the bad credit listing to occur, and call out the various obligations your Credit Provider has failed to comply with.

If you decide to pay off the debt, our platform lets you suggest repayment options that could lead to removing the bad credit listing once agreed upon.

initial response

3. Initial response & outcomes

Receive a response from the Credit Provider. At this stage the following responses are generally received:

  • the Credit Provider agrees to remove the listing (with or without conditions);
  • the Credit Provider asks for more time to respond;
  • the Credit Provider asks for additional information; or
  • the Credit Provider declines to remove the default – don’t worry. If this happens it’s not the end. There is still plenty that can be done to fix your credit score.
audit and challenge

4. Audit & Challenge

When you raise your dispute, you will require that the Credit Provider give a number of supporting documents which will assist in resolving your case. Your Credit Provider is obliged to provide this information.

Review the supporting documents with our auditing tool to discover instances where your creditor has not followed due procedure prior to making the listing.

Our audit tool will help you identify where your Credit Provider has not followed due procedure.

repair

5. Repair

Where inconsistencies or errors are discovered, you can tell your Credit Provider to clear the bad credit listing. If the Credit Provider does not adhere to your demands, you can escalate your case to an external dispute resolution service to deliver an outcome. We’ll let you know who you need to contact, and where you need to go.
